So…. you want to know more about me, huh?  well, read on…

Born in Syosset, Long Island, Alexander’s interest in the arts was fostered at a very young age.  He began playing the violin at age 3 and has never stopped.  When he was in college, studying music and theatre, he worked at the local music store – Buzzo Music – in Geneseo, NY.  While working there, he picked up other instruments and taught himself lots of other fun music stuff.  He also began to break away from his classical music background and explored other styles and even began writing his own music.  You should ask him to play for you sometime. He likes that.

Alexander really digs Shakespeare.  His first experiences with classical theatre were playing the roles of Oberon in MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and the title role in HAMLET in his high school’s productions of the plays.  After that, he was hooked.  During his years at college, he trained at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA and also with the Aquila Theatre Company in NYC.

When Alexander was a kid, he wanted to be one of the Three Musketeers… for that to happen, he needed some training.  Alexander took horse back riding lessons, archery classes and trained as a fencer.  The fencing stuck.  He continued fencing all through high school and even taught it at summer camp.  When he played Hamlet in high school, he used those skills to help choreograph the final fight scene with his teacher, the fabulous Gene Connor.  Since then, he has trained extensively in stage combat, moving from the sport of fencing to the art of violence for the stage and screen.

Alexander lives in New York City.
